The short version

RocketBucket collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics, no crash reporting service, and no server of ours involved in anything you transfer.

Your files

File transfers go directly from your Mac to the storage endpoints you configure (such as Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, or MinIO) over TLS. Your files never pass through any server operated by us.

Your credentials

Secret access keys are stored in the macOS Keychain on your device. They are never written to configuration files on disk and never transmitted anywhere except to the storage endpoint they belong to, as part of request signing. If you sign in via IAM Identity Center (AWS SSO), the resulting short-lived credentials are handled the same way.

Local folder access

RocketBucket runs inside the Apple App Sandbox. It can only access local folders you explicitly select, via security-scoped bookmarks. It has no access to anything else on your Mac.

Network connections

The app connects only to the storage endpoints you configure. It does not phone home, check licenses against a server, or fetch remote configuration.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date above.
